Christmas Light Installation FAQ
We’ve answered hundreds of questions from first-time and returning customers about professional Christmas light installation. Here are the most common ones.
When should I book?
Book as early as possible — ideally September or October. The best installation dates fill first: before Thanksgiving is the most requested window (neighborhoods look great for the holiday, and it sets the tone for the season). Large estate installs in markets like Southlake, Westlake, Carlton Woods, and similar communities book out even earlier. If you’re calling in November, we’ll do our best, but you may have to take whatever dates are available.
How long does installation take?
A standard residential roofline install (front roofline with C9 bulbs) takes 2–4 hours for our crew. Add tree wrapping and that’s typically another 1–2 hours depending on the number and size of trees. A full estate install with roofline, trees, motor court, and outdoor living area can take a full day or two days for very large properties.
What if lights fail mid-season?
We come back and fix it. No charge, no arguments. Commercial-grade C9 LED systems rarely fail, but we stand behind everything we install. One call and we schedule a service visit.
Do I need to be home?
You don’t need to be home during the install. We do ask that you’re available at dusk for the walk-through — we review the finished design, adjust any fixture positions, and confirm timer and control settings together.
Can you install lights I already own?
We prefer to use our own commercial-grade hardware because we can guarantee it. If you have professional-grade lights from a previous installer that are in good condition, we’re happy to review them and discuss options.
Do you do commercial holiday lighting?
Yes — commercial holiday lighting for retail centers, office buildings, restaurants, and event venues is a service we offer. Contact us to discuss your commercial property’s requirements.
What does it cost?
Holiday lighting cost depends on the scope of your project. We provide free on-site estimates — the most accurate way to understand what your specific property will cost.
